1. Membership Fees

All fees and schedules are subject to change without notice. There are no refunds for membership fees. The member's credit/debit card/bank account will be charged  according on the membership option. Membership option:

  • No Commitment - Adult, Fortnightly, Renew date: 05/09/2026

All membership packages rates are per calendar month, paid weekly, fortnightly or monthly.

All new members wishing to renew their membership contract at the end of their Introductory Course will have the option to do so prior to the last day of their 2-week period. Additional fees apply for debit/credit cards.

2. Three-Day Right of Rescission

New members have three days after signing this Agreement to cancel their membership without penalty. If the Agreement is cancelled within three days, UNITE Fitness will return all amounts paid (in the same manner paid) within 30 days after cancellation. If original payment was by credit/debit card, the amount paid will be credited to the card used for the original transaction. To cancel, new members must email and/or come into UNITE Fitness and inform either Matt or Haylee of their wishes to cancel.

3. Hold Policy

Members may put their membership on hold; however, the hold period must be greater than 7 days however no more than 3 months. Memberships can be placed on hold twice per calendar year. There is a $5.00 per week hold fee per request. Notice of hold must be given to UNITE Fitness via email, or in person any time during business hours prior to the holding period. Billing will resume automatically upon the end of the hold. The current membership agreement will be extended by the number of weeks frozen.

4. Late Payment / Declined Credit Card Fees

A late payment/declined fee of $3.30 will be charged on any payment past due. Membership fees must be paid by the due date.

5. Cancellation of Membership by Member

A member may cancel his/her no commitment membership at any time with two-weeks written notice. If appropriate notice is not given, the member will be charged up until two-weeks after the written notice is received.

A member cannot cancel his/her 12-month contract unless the contract has expired or there are specific reasons the contract cannot continue (see reasons below). In the case the membership has expired, two-weeks written notice is to be provided. If the contract is still valid, the member will be required to pay out the remaining value of the contract. As per above, if appropriate notice is not given, the member will be charged up until two-weeks after the written notice is received. Cancellations cannot be made in person.

  • A member may cancel their membership without paying out the contract if they move more than 80kms further than the address listed on their membership application, provided the member notifies UNITE Fitness of the move two-weeks prior to the move occurring.
  • Any member who suffers a physical disability that will prevent him or her from using the facility for more than six months will not be required to pay the contract out, as long as the cancellation is accompanied by a doctor's note documenting the injury and prognosis.

Members may cancel memberships by notifying UNITE Fitness of their wish to cancel via email. There are no refunds for membership fees and UNITE Fitness will not prorate a cancelled membership.

6. Attire

Appropriate footwear is highly recommended and required to train as a member of UNITE Fitness. Any barefoot lifting or running must be approved by the coach of the particular class and the owner(s) and will be evaluated on a strict case by case basis. UNITE Fitness is not liable for any harm or injury due to deviations in the recommended standards of footwear.

7. Lost Articles

UNITE Fitness assumes no responsibility for lost or stolen articles. Lost and found articles not claimed will be donated to charity.

8. Smoking, Food and Drink.

No smoking is allowed in any part of the facility. Food or drink may be taken into workout areas if it is in a non-breakable, enclosed container.

9. Children

Members must be 16 years of age in order to participate in activities (excludes UNITE Kids and UNITE Pre-Teens). Children attending the facility must be supervised by a parent or legal guardian at all times, unless they are in the creche’ facility. In the even the child is not in the creche’, this must be approved by the coach of the particular class and the owner(s) and will be evaluated on a case by case basis. Guest/Visitors under the age of 16 must always be supervised by a parent or legal guardian.

10. Conduct

UNITE Fitness is committed to the health, safety, welfare of each of its members and staff and will not tolerate unreasonable, threatening, obscene, harassing, indecent, or illegal behaviour. UNITE Fitness has the right to judge behaviour and respond accordingly. This right includes, but is not limited to, termination of membership of any member engaging in unacceptable behaviour.

11. Damages

Members shall pay for any damages to UNITE Fitness’s property which results from the wilful or negligent conduct of member, member's guest or dependent children.

12. Rules and/or Regulations

Members who do not observe UNITE Fitness rules and regulations or who abuse equipment in any fashion will be asked to leave. The management reserves the right to terminate membership to anyone who refuses to observe any of UNITE Fitness's rules or regulations. Not all rules and regulations are listed in this agreement. UNITE Fitness reserves the rights to add, change or remove rules, conditions of membership, opening and closing hours, and all services and facilities offered by UNITE Fitness.

13. Use of Photo and Video

UNITE Fitness, its representatives and employees have the right to take photographs of Member and Member's property whilst training with UNITE Fitness.

UNITE Fitness is authorised to use and publish these photos or videos in print and/or electronically. UNITE Fitness may use such photographs of Member with or without Member's name and for any lawful purpose, including for example such purposes as publicity, illustration, advertising, and web content.

14. Miscellaneous

a. This Agreement contains the entire agreement between the parties and supersedes any prior written or oral agreements between them concerning the subject matter of this Agreement. The provisions of this may be waived, altered, amended or repealed, in whole or in part, only upon prior written consent of all parties. This agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of Tasmania without regard to the principles of conflict of laws thereof and treated as a contract entirely made and execute within Tasmania.

b. Member has read, and fully agrees to the term of this Agreement and understands and agrees that by signing this Agreement (which contains a waiver, release and assumption of risks) Member has given up considerable future legal rights. Member has signed this Agreement freely, voluntarily, under no duress or threat of duress, without inducement, promise or guarantee being communicated to him/her. Member certifies and warrants that he/she is 18 years of age or older and mentally competent to enter into this Agreement.
